This site describes the transformation process of my 1970 Citroën ID20 from berline to convertible, and the upgrades that I added during the last 17 years.
This is the result as the car is 10-2024:
The basic rebuild 2016/2017 was done by Oord DS cabrio, in the Netherlands (Zwaag).
After the basic rebuild was done, I chopped the car in 2018/2019 at the rear and mounted a new collapsible roof from an early model Audi80 cabrio with some alterations.
Then, over a period of 4 years , the car was completely stripped, renewed where required, repainted and all of the interior was renewed.
I have had original ID20 front chairs re-upholstered with black leather but I don’t want to use these and am using Volvo C70 cabrio front chairs, I find this to be a much better solution. The Citroën chairs can easily be refitted, though.
